UC Davis AB 617 Evaluation Study

The District is sharing the message below on behalf of the UC Davis research team.

Dear Stockton CSC member,

The UC Davis AB 617 Evaluation Study is intended to assist all stakeholders involved in the implementation of AB 617 in meeting its goals. The study is intended to provide practical information on the successes, challenges, and ways to improve the implementation of AB 617: it is directed by Dr. Jonathan London and is managed by Peter Nguyen from UC Davis.

The Stockton community has been selected as one of several study sites in the project. In Stockton and the other case study sites, UC Davis researchers will conduct interviews with CSC, Air District and other local leaders, observe CSC meetings, and review CSC documents. The UC Davis team is inviting CSC members who are interested in participating in an interview to contact Dr. Jonathan London.

The interview should take about one hour to complete. Your participation in this interview is voluntary. Your answers will be kept confidential and anonymous (your name will not be associated with your quote or other information. If a quote from the interview is intended to be included in the report, the evaluation team will ask for permission from the interviewee to publish it. The results will be shared in policy reports and peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Residents and members of community organizations not otherwise compensated for their time on AB 617 will be paid $50 for their interview.

The principal investigator in this research is Dr. Jonathan London [jklondon@ucdavis.edu], Professor in the UC Davis Department of Human Ecology/ Community and Regional Planning. You may contact him if you are interested in participating in an interview.

Thank you so much for your consideration!
