  • Upcoming Valley CAN Passenger Vehicle Replacement Workshop (6/29): Valley CAN is hosting a weeknight workshop to assist interested applicants on Monday, June 29th. Details of the workshop can be found below. Please feel free to share this information with your friends, family, and anyone who might be interested (see flyers attached)!

  • CERP Tracker: The Community Emissions Reduction Program (CERP) tracker is updated monthly to share updates and most current status of CERP measures. The latest updates can be found in green text.

San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG)

The message below was shared by SJCOG in the CSC meeting chat.

  • SJCOG is preparing to release the Draft 2026 Regional Transportation Plan & Sustainable Communities Strategy later this month. The plan is a long range plan outlining the region’s transportation investment strategy for the next 20+ years. The plan must meet air quality conformity and includes strategies to help meet GHG reduction targets for the region. You can learn more about this regional plan at www.sjcog.org.

California Air Resources Board (CARB)

  • Peer to Peer session: Save the date for June 30 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm for the next Community Air Protection Peer‑to‑Peer Session. The Peer‑to‑Peer Design Team, made up of CSC members from communities across the state, is working with CARB to shape this series. Stay tuned for updates: Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Learning
  • The Consultation Group collaborated with CARB to develop a draft Charter, which they have recommended to the Board for approval. CARB will present this Charter to the Board on June 25th. The next Consultation Group meeting is scheduled for July 22nd. The AB 617 Community Air Protection Program Consultation Group is an advisory body with a diverse group of representatives with different perspectives, expertise, and experience to advise CARB on the implementation of the Program.   • Save the date for CARB’s July 23rd Board Meeting, no earlier than 4 pm.  We’ll provide an AB617 annual progress update to the CARB Board and debut the latest community video featuring members of the South Sacramento, Florin, CSC.
  • Clean Transportation Incentives: CARB hosts monthly evening community meetings to provide updates and recaps on clean transportation programs, incentives, and regulations. During these meetings, CARB staff will discuss updates to incentive project funding as well as the development and implementation of zero-emission transportation and mobility projects. These projects help improve air quality and reduce the impact of climate change. We encourage community members to provide suggestions and input on their clean transportation needs and to ask questions.
