Engaging the public throughout the development and implementation of AB 617 will be paramount. The District plans to host a series of workshops, public meetings, and community forums to educate the public, yet more importantly, to solicit suggestions and feedback on a wide variety of issues, including allocation of funds, identifying communities for potential enhanced monitoring and action plan development.

Vegetative Barrier Request for Proposal (RFP)
Request for Proposal (RFP): The District is requesting proposals from eligible entities to implement Vegetative Barrier projects in the Arvin/Lamont AB 617 Community. The Vegetative Barrier Request for Proposal (RFP) will provide a total grant amount of up to $486,133.56 to the selected applicant(s) that can demonstrate the ability to efficiently and effectively implement vegetative barrier projects by working with the community to reduce emissions and to provide several key co-benefits.
Proposals are due by October 9, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
