Stockton CSC: February Standing Updates

Hello Stockton CSC,

Thanks to all who made our February CSC Meeting! We did not get a chance to review action items, so please review the captured action items from the meeting on the steering committee page and let us know if there are any edits or clarifications needed. See below for standing updates and we’ll see you Wednesday, March 6th for our next CSC meeting.

Outreach Updates

  • Please see the attached Stockton CERP Updates presentation to see all of the great work the Outreach and Communications team has done in the Stockton community. We encourage the CSC to attend the Outreach subcommittee meeting on February 16 to hear more details of the outreach efforts and future plans of community engagement in Stockton.

Port of Stockton

  • The Port of Stockton welcomes the CSC to attend the Ride N Drive & Zero Emission Convoy on February 28 and 29. The Conference is designed to showcase various zero and low-emission vehicles and infrastructure solutions for fleet managers. Click this link to see event schedule and reach out to Jeff Wingfield jwingfield@stocktonport.com if you’d like to attend. See flyer attached for more details.

Delta Stewardship Council

  • Please find attached to this email, the Climate Equity in Stockton presentation that was presented by the Delta Stewardship Council in the last CSC meeting. The Delta Stewardship Council will return to a future CSC meeting for further engagement and discussion around the Climate Adaptation plan. We encourage folks to review the presentation and discussion questions to prepare for the next time the Delta Stewardship Council returns.

AB 617 Implementation Evaluation Study by UC Davis

Please see the below request from UC Davis research team that is studying the implementation of AB 617:

  • Our UC Davis team is conducting on-going research on how well AB 617 is benefiting and reflecting the priorities of local communities. This includes CSC and other stakeholder interviews in Stockton and the Valley. These are confidential 1-hour interviews with $50 honoraria for residents. If interested, please contact Professor Jonathan London: jklondon@ucdavis.edu

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please reach out to the District at AB617@valleyair.org or call 559-230-6000 and ask to speak to someone with the AB 617 program. To see communications from the District to the CSC, visit the Communications with Members page.
