CalGem is inviting you to attend the Release Draft Orphan Well Expenditure Plan Public Meeting on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. Public comments on the draft expenditure plan will be accepted through August 11, 2023. Public comments can be submitted via email at CalGEMOrphanWells@conservation.ca.gov .  Registration instructions are listed below.

CalGEM to Release Draft Orphan Well Expenditure Plan
in July Public Meeting

Sacramento, Calif. – The Department of Conservation’s Geologic Energy Management (CalGEM) Division will release its Draft Expenditure Plan on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. in the evening during a virtual public meeting via Zoom.  

The draft plan will include the Department's initial list of orphan wells it proposes to permanently plug and seal using state and federal funds.

Public comments on the draft expenditure plan will be accepted through August 11, 2023. Public comments can be submitted via email at CalGEMOrphanWells@conservation.ca.gov .

CalGEM publicará el borrador del plan estatal de gastos para los  pozos huérfanos en la reunión pública de julio 

 
Sacramento, Calif. – La División de Gestión de Energía Geológica (CalGEM) del Departamento de Conservación publicará su Borrador del Plan de gastos de pozos huérfanos el martes 18 de julio de 2023 a las 5:30 p.m. por la noche durante una reunión pública virtual a través de Zoom. 

 
El borrador del plan incluirá la lista inicial del Departamento de pozos huérfanos que propone tapar y sellar permanentemente con fondos estatales y federales. 

 

Los comentarios públicos sobre el borrador del plan de gastos se aceptarán hasta el 11 de agosto de 2023. Los comentarios públicos se pueden enviar por correo electrónico a CalGEMOrphanWells@conservation.ca.gov.
