Engaging the public throughout the development and implementation of AB 617 will be paramount. The District plans to host a series of workshops, public meetings, and community forums to educate the public, yet more importantly, to solicit suggestions and feedback on a wide variety of issues, including allocation of funds, identifying communities for potential enhanced monitoring and action plan development.

AB 617 and the recent Cap and Trade extension legislation is expected to bring significant additional funds to the Valley to help reduce emissions and improve public health in disadvantaged communities. Learn about qualifying projects, impacted communities and investment priorities.

Hello Arvin/Lamont CSC!
During last month’s meeting, we had an exciting exercise where CSC members were placed into breakout rooms to provide their ideas on possible CERP measures. The wonderful feedback were capture on virtual sticky notes in each breakout room. The notes have been translated into both English and Spanish, and we wanted to share them with the CSC. A list of possible measures based on these notes is being drafted from the CSC members’ ideas and will be shared with the CSC next week.

Durante la reunión del mes pasado, tuvimos un ejercicio emocionante en el que los miembros del Comité fueron colocados en salas virtuales para proveer sus ideas sobre posibles medidas para el CERP. Los maravillosos comentarios se capturaron en notas adhesivas virtuales en cada sala. Las notas han sido traducidas tanto al inglés como al español, y queríamos compartirlas con el Comité. Se está redactando una lista de posibles medidas basadas en estas notas a partir de las ideas de los miembros del Comité y se compartirá con el Comité la próxima semana.
