Happy Friday, Stockton CSC! Sharing the below message and attachment from Skott Wall at CARB regarding health impacts and studies related to vegetative barriers.
Hello Stockton CSC!
During the March 15th Trees Subcommittee meeting, members expressed an interest in discussing health impacts and studies related to vegetative barriers. CARB suggested that the group dedicate time in the April 19th meeting to discuss this in more detail, and has arranged for several vegetative barriers and health effects experts to support this conversation. CARB was also asked to provide an outline and references in advance of the April 19th meeting. Attached please find an information sheet and several links in response to this request.
For a deeper dive into the science behind vegetative barriers, the “References” page (8) of the study paper linked below and referenced in the attached information sheet contains links to 39 additional papers on the subject:

We look forward to further discussion with the Trees Subcommittee on April 19th.
