CARB
The District is sharing the message below on behalf of CARB.
Hello from CARB! We’ve got announcements to share, below, on a few items we think are relevant ,or at least interesting, to folks in the Stockton community:
CARB Environmental Justice Advisory Committee Meeting: Thursday, February 13, 2025
CARB’s Environmental Justice Advisory Committee is meeting this Thursday. The EJAC, as it’s often abbreviated, is comprised of representatives from communities across the State, and its work intersects and overlaps with a lot of the environmental justice work done through AB 617. It’s definitely worth tuning in for those of you interested in a “bigger picture” view of environmental justice work being done statewide. The meeting is scheduled from 1:00pm – 5:00pm on Tuesday, February 13, and remote participation via Zoom is an option. Meeting details are in the link above and right here.
CARB Evening Community Meeting for Clean Transportation Incentives: Tuesday, February 18, 2025
Clean Transportation Incentives meetings are hosted by CARB on a monthly basis, typically on the 3rd Thursday. At these meetings, CARB hosts a discussion on the development process for the Clean Transportation Incentives Funding Plan. For those of you interested in learning more about incentives in general and how they contribute to lowering air pollution and incentivizing more widespread adoption of advanced technologies, this could be a very good meeting to attend. The meeting is scheduled from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 18, and will be hosted virtually via Zoom. Meeting details are in the link above and right here, and the agenda has been posted here.
Joint Webinar on Understanding Air Quality After the LA Fires: Monday, February 10, 2025
For those of you interested in understanding the impacts of the recent LA fires on air quality, on Monday night several agencies including CARB are jointly hosting a webinar on the air quality impacts of the fires. Topics include recovery operations, air quality concerns and mitigation efforts, air quality monitoring, public health impacts, protecting oneself and one’s community, and general info on resources and assistance. The webinar is scheduled from 6:00pm – 7:00pm on Monday, February 10, and will be hosted virtually via Zoom. Meeting details are in the link above and right here.
