Engaging the public throughout the development and implementation of AB 617 will be paramount. The District plans to host a series of workshops, public meetings, and community forums to educate the public, yet more importantly, to solicit suggestions and feedback on a wide variety of issues, including allocation of funds, identifying communities for potential enhanced monitoring and action plan development.

AB 617 and the recent Cap and Trade extension legislation is expected to bring significant additional funds to the Valley to help reduce emissions and improve public health in disadvantaged communities. Learn about qualifying projects, impacted communities and investment priorities.

Good afternoon Stockton Community Steering Committee,
Our next Stockton AB 617 Community Steering Committee meeting will be at 5 p.m. TOMORROW (June 3, 2020) on Zoom co-hosted by CSC member Mariah Looney. Here is the agenda, and meeting materials will be available here.
We plan to discuss emissions in the Stockton AB 617 Community and have provided maps with visual emissions information we hope will be helpful resources for the CSC members throughout the AB 617 process. The resources can be found here: Stockton Community Emissions (updated link) and Stockton Facility Emissions.
During the meeting, we will also be breaking out into virtual rooms in Zoom to talk about sources of air pollution that you are concerned about in the community. In preparations for the discussion, you can add your sources of concern using this online tool: https://valleyair.mysocialpinpoint.com/ab-617-stockton. You will be able to keep adding sources of concern throughout the process.
