Fresno CSC: Trees Subcommittee Meeting on 6/14
Hello Fresno CSC,
We are writing to share the most updated versions of the Urban Greening and Vegetative Barriers Request for Proposals (RFP). The next Tree Subcommittee meeting will be next Tuesday, June 14th from 4:00-4:30 pm to discuss these updates as well as next steps with the RFP.
From the last meeting, several updates have been incorporated to the RFPs including:
- requiring public agencies (i.e. cities and counties) to apply with community-based organizations
- explicit language on the CSC/Subcommittee’s involvement in reviewing submitted proposals to the RFP
- requiring the implementing agency to have District and CSC approval prior to implementing projects
- additional requirements that the RFP applicant must describe their experience connecting with community, including ability to provide bilingual services (noted in the scoring criteria)

Les escribimos para compartir las versiones más actualizadas de la Solicitud de Propuestas de Ecologización Urbana y Barreras Vegetativas (RFP, por sus siglas en inglés). La próxima reunión del Subcomité de Árboles será el próximo martes 14 de junio de 4:00 pm a 4:30 pm para para dialogar estas actualizaciones y los próximos pasos con el RFP.
Desde la última reunión, se han incorporado varias actualizaciones al RFP que incluyen:
- El requerimiento que las agencias públicas (por ejemplo, ciudades y condados) presenten solicitudes con organizaciones comunitarias
- Lenguaje explícito sobre la participación del Comité/Subcomité en la revisión de las propuestas enviadas al RFP
- Requisito que la agencia implementadora tenga la aprobación del Distrito y del Comité antes de implementar proyectos
- Información adicional requiriendo que el solicitante de RFP debe describir su experiencia de conexión con la comunidad, incluida la capacidad de proporcionar servicios bilingües (anotado en los criterios de puntuación)
