DISTRICT

Fresno Fireplace Show-and-Tell Event
As mentioned during our last CSC meeting, we are excited to share that we will be hosting a Fireplace Change-Out Show & Tell event in Fresno. It will be held Thursday, March 2 from 4:30-7:00 pm at Malaga Community Rec Center. We appreciated all of the great feedback we received during the last CSC meeting (on this Jamboard) and will continue to reach out to the suggested organizations/community centers as we advertise the event.

Below is information on the Show-and-Tell event:

Come meet fireplace retailers that serve the Fresno area and learn how you can get up to $5,000 to replace your old wood or pellet burning device with a new cleaner option. You can also enter to win a $100 gift card and other door prizes. Refreshments will be served.

Residential Air Filtration Update
Last Thursday, our District Governing Board approved the Residential Air Filtration Program for South Central Fresno (and Shafter and Stockton). Thank you to the CSC members who were able to attend the Governing Board meeting and give verbal support for the measure! The Project Plan is currently pending final approval from CARB. We look forward to continuing to work with the CSC as we move towards program implementation.

Subcommittee Updates

Truck Reroute Subcommittee
The South Central Fresno AB617 Truck Reroute Study and related Health Assessment is moving along. The City received request from the community with interest to join the Community Advisory Group (CAG). IBI Group and Katherine Padilla & Associates, will be hosting the stakeholder interviews next week for community input. The community will have the opportunity to attend one of three sessions; one of which is virtual. Please see attachments for more information.

Trees Subcommittee
District is working with Tree Fresno to finalize contracts for Urban Greening and Vegetative Barriers Program and anticipate Tree Fresno to begin program implementation in Spring 2023.

Demostración e Información sobre el Cambio de Chimeneas de Fresno
Como se mencionó durante nuestra última reunión del Comité, nos complace compartir que organizaremos un evento de Demostración e Información sobre el Cambio de Chimeneas Chimeneas en Fresno. Se llevará a cabo el jueves, 2 de marzo de 4:30 a 7:00 pm en Málaga Community Rec Center. Apreciamos todos los excelentes comentarios que recibimos durante la última reunión del Comité (en este Jamboard) y continuaremos comunicándonos con las organizaciones/centros comunitarios sugeridos a medida que anunciamos el evento.

Actualización de Filtración de Aire Residencial
El jueves pasado, nuestra Mesa Directiva  aprobó el Programa de Filtración de Aire Residencial para Centro-Sur Fresno (Shafter y Stockton). ¡Gracias a los miembros del Comité que pudieron asistir a la reunión de la Mesa Directiva y apoyar verbalmente la medida! El Plan del Proyecto está actualmente pendiente a la aprobación final de CARB. Esperamos continuar trabajando con el Comité  a medida que avanzamos hacia la implementación del programa.

Actualizaciones del Subcomité

Subcomité de Desviación de Camiones
El Estudio de Desviación de Camiones AB617 de Centro-Sur Fresno y la Evaluación de Salud relacionada están avanzando. La Ciudad recibió una solicitud de la comunidad con interés para unirse al Grupo Asesor Comunitario (CAG). IBI Group y Katherine Padilla & Associates organizarán las entrevistas con las partes interesadas la próxima semana para recibir aportes de la comunidad. La comunidad tendrá la oportunidad de asistir a una de tres sesiones; uno de los cuales es virtual. Consulte los archivos adjuntos para obtener más información.

Subcomité de Árboles
El Distrito está trabajando con Tree Fresno para finalizar contratos para el Programa de Barreras Vegetativas y Ecologización Urbana y anticipa que Tree Fresno comenzará la implementación del programa en la primavera de 2023.
