Engaging the public throughout the development and implementation of AB 617 will be paramount. The District plans to host a series of workshops, public meetings, and community forums to educate the public, yet more importantly, to solicit suggestions and feedback on a wide variety of issues, including allocation of funds, identifying communities for potential enhanced monitoring and action plan development.

The District is soliciting proposals from eligible entities to implement urban greening and vegetative barriers projects in the South Central Fresno Community boundaries. Both Request for Proposals will each provide a total grant amount of up to $1,000,000 to the selected applicant(s) that can demonstrate the ability to efficiently and effectively implement urban greening and vegetative barrier projects by working with the community to reduce emissions and to provide several key co-benefits. El Distrito está solicitando propuestas de entidades elegibles para implementar proyectos de ecologización urbaba y barreras vegetativas en los límites de la Comunidad de Centro-Sur Fresno. Ambas Solicitudes de Propuestas proporcionarán cada una un monto total de subvención de hasta $1,000,000 a los solicitantes seleccionados que puedan demostrar la capacidad de implementar de manera eficiente y efectiva proyectos de ecologización urbana y barreras vegetativas al trabajar con la comunidad para reducir las emisiones y brindar varios cobeneficios clave.
