Engaging the public throughout the development and implementation of AB 617 will be paramount. The District plans to host a series of workshops, public meetings, and community forums to educate the public, yet more importantly, to solicit suggestions and feedback on a wide variety of issues, including allocation of funds, identifying communities for potential enhanced monitoring and action plan development.

Hello Shafter CSC,
As discussed during the CSC meeting last week, here is the CERP Prioritization Survey for CSC members to complete. While all CERP measures are important, this survey will help provide an overall picture of which CERP measures members feel should be prioritized. Your top choices would be measures for which you would like more frequent discussion and your bottom choices may be measures you are OK with less frequent discussion/updates with the CSC.
If you need a refresher on the different CERP measures while you complete the survey, these documents can be helpful: CERP Measure Review and Shafter Progress Tracker.
Please complete the survey by Friday, January 28. If you need any support with completing this survey, please contact Yesenia Silva-Aguilar, (559) 230-5927 or Yesenia.Silva-Aguilar@valleyair.org.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please reach out to the District at AB617@valleyair.org or call 559-230-6000 and ask to speak to someone with the AB 617 program. Want to see all communications from the District to the CSC? Click here!
