Hello Shafter CSC,
We’re excited to announce the Lawnmower Trade-in Event will be taking place in Shafter on Saturday, June 27, 2026. This event has been made possible thanks to the efforts of the Shafter CSC, and we want to ensure that all CSC members who wish to participate have the opportunity to do so.
The Lawnmower Trade-in Event registration portal is now open! If you are interested in attending, we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible, as space and inventory are limited. Please feel free to share the information below with your friends, family, and anyone who might be interested in attending (see flyer attached)!

Lawnmower Trade-in
Interested in replacing your old gas/diesel-powered lawnmower with a new electric lawnmower? Residents within the Shafter AB 617 boundary can get a FREE electric Stihl lawnmower by making a reservation prior to the event and trading in their old gas mower on June 27th! See details below.
- Reserve your new electric lawnmower: Visit valleycan.org/mower or call (559) 500-0246
- If interested, we encourage you to sign up right away, as inventory is limited for the event
- Resident MUST bring an old mower to trade in at the event
- *Mower must be drained of fluids (fuel/oil)
- Only 1 mower exchange per address; supplies are limited
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) staff will be available to assist residents at the event
- No out-of-pocket expense – straight exchange for a new, cordless electric STIHL mower
- Not interested in the above mentioned STIHL brand mower? Shafter residents in the boundary can purchase any brand of new electric mower on their own, turn in their old mower at a participating dismantler and complete the CGYM (Clean Green Yard Machines) application for a rebate of up to $500.

Nos complace anunciar un evento de Intercambio de Cortacéspedes que se llevará a cabo en Shafter el sábado, 27 de junio de 2026. Este evento ha sido posible gracias a los esfuerzos del Comité Directivo Comunitario (Comité) de Shafter, y queremos asegurarnos de que todos los miembros del Comité que deseen participar tengan la oportunidad de hacerlo.
La inscripción para el evento de Intercambio de Cortacéspedes ya está abierta! Si está interesado en asistir, le recomendamos que se inscriba lo antes posible, ya que el espacio y el inventario son limitados. ¡No duden en compartir la información a continuación con sus amigos, familiares y cualquier persona que pudiera estar interesada en asistir (ver folleto adjunto)!

Intercambio de Cortacésped
¿Interesado en reemplazar su cortacésped de gasolina o diésel antiguo por un cortacésped eléctrico nuevo? ¡Los residentes dentro del límite AB 617 de Shafter pueden obtener un cortacésped eléctrico Stihl GRATIS haciendo una reservación antes del evento y entregando su cortacésped de gasolina antiguo el 27 de junio! - Reserva su nuevo cortacésped eléctrico: Visite valleycan.org/mower o llame al (559) 500-0246
- Si está interesado, le recomendamos inscribirse de inmediato, ya que el inventario es limitado para el evento
- Residentes DEBEN traer su cortacésped antiguo para intercambiar en el evento
- *El cortacésped debe estar vacío de líquidos (combustible/aceite)
- Solo se permite un intercambio de cortacésped por dirección; el suministro es limitado
- Personal bilingüe (inglés/español) estará disponible para ayudar a los residentes en el evento
- No habrá gastos adicionales: será un intercambio directo por un nuevo cortacésped STIHL sin cables
- ¿No estas interesado en un cortacésped de la marca STIHL mencionado anteriormente? Los residentes de Shafter dentro del límite pueden comprar cualquier marca de cortacésped eléctrico nuevo por su propia cuenta, entregar su cortacésped antiguo en un desmantelador participante y completar la solicitud de CGYM (Clean Green Yard Machines) para obtener un reembolso de hasta $500.
