The District is sharing the message below on behalf of the Kern Council of Governments (Kern COG).
Join the Kern Council of Governments (Kern COG) for community workshops! They are hosting a series of in person and online workshops this summer for the public to learn more and provide feedback about the Kern Area Regional Goods Movement Operations Community Prosperity/Protection Study. This study will look at our transportation network’s climate durability, identify improvements to strengthen our transportation system, and identify funding opportunities for these projects. It will also look at economic development opportunities and equitable community improvements through these projects.
Feedback received during the workshops will inform both the KARGO Community Prosperity/Protection Study and the 2026 Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy development. All are welcome to join. We look forward to seeing you there! Please see the attached fliers for more information.
