Stockton CSC -- Fireworks Follow-up

Hello Stockton Community Steering Committee Member,

During this month’s CSC meeting, there were requests from community members regarding air quality readings during the July 4th holiday. We wanted to share an image of the RAAN data for July 4th from the Stockton monitor. You also can see hourly readings from the Stockton monitor at this link: http://www.valleyair.org/programs/raan/raan_index.htm?x=SCK252. You can change the date at the bottom to July 4th to see the data from that day. As was discussed in the meeting, we continue to work to educate the public on the health impacts of fireworks, and encourage residents to celebrate the holiday without them.

With a couple of wildfires impacting the Central Valley, don’t forget, if you see ash or smell smoke, treat the air quality as Unhealthy and take precautions to protect your health. You can visit www.valleyair.org/wildfires to see which wildfires are currently affecting our region and sign up for air quality alerts at myRAAN.com.
