Engaging the public throughout the development and implementation of AB 617 will be paramount. The District plans to host a series of workshops, public meetings, and community forums to educate the public, yet more importantly, to solicit suggestions and feedback on a wide variety of issues, including allocation of funds, identifying communities for potential enhanced monitoring and action plan development.

Subject: Stockton-Hazelton Monitoring Site Update
I am happy to share good news! CARB has postponed the planned relocation of the Stockton-Hazelton monitoring site until approximately August 2021 because of delays in the planned demolition of the building at which the monitor is installed. This allows CARB the opportunity to engage the full Stockton AB 617 community steering committee in meaningful conversation about siting criteria and to utilize the community’s input and resources to identify a new site.
CARB had planned to meet with the committee members who expressed concern at the July meeting, but this meeting will now be rescheduled so that everyone on the committee has the opportunity to join the conversation. We still need to move quickly, so we plan to reschedule this meeting in the very near future.
